My favorite book actually has creepy, crawly things in it too, believe it or not! The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver is my favorite book. It takes place in the Congo in Africa during a time where there were lots of plagues. One of those plages included fire ants. Ever heard of those?
My favorite books when I was your age was probably Pippi Longstockings. I was very intrigued by the fact that a girl my age could live all by herself.
Your friend Treats must be pretty cool, because I LOVED the Poisonwood Bible too! Tell her that Prodigal Summer by the same author is also very good- I think one of the characters is a butterfly scientist- neato. And Pippi totally rocks. A year or two ago I rented the old Pippi movies with the cheesy-bad dubbing from Swedish. Very fun.
As for my favorite book, it's hard to say, there are so many books! Besides, being a librarian, you really shouldn't have a favorite- it's like a mom choosing a favorite kid. Books are like kids and snowflakes- each is different and has their own amazing qualities. The book I'm reading right now is the 2nd book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I really like it. I know you love animals and other non-fiction books, do you have some favorite fiction books? (Thought I'd throw in a little library lesson, ha ha ) I haven't read your whole blog, so maybe you already talk about that- I'll keep reading :)
